SleepActa's DORMI algorithm is based on a neural network trained on a dataset of 6,500 real actigraphic exams that required over 17,000 hours of work by our data scientists. Our algorithm is employed daily for hundreds of analyses, and is continuously refined.

The algorithm runs on a certified, highly scalable cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance regardless of workloads.

No personal patient data is managed or stored by the platform, ensuring full GDPR compliance.


The DORMI platform is designed to be used by System Integrators who intend to deliver the sleepActa certified actigraphic service in a third party information system (a web application, a mobile app, a totem, etc.).

The partner intending to integrate DORMI in its own IT applications will have to equip itself with a set of consumer wearable devices - low cost and comfortable to wear - supported by sleepActa (e.g. FitBit) and previously surveyed in DORMI.

The patient will wear the device for a predetermined number of days (3 to 7) without having to remove it.

At the end of the data collection session, the partner will invoke a DORMI API to request the execution of an actigraphic exam, in the time interval of interest.

Following a request to perform an exam, the DORMI platform will:

  • interact via API with the Server of the manufacturer of the wearable device, to retrieve and collect the "raw-data" measured by the wearable device of interest, in the indicated time interval
  • run the algorithm and produce the Reports & KPIs of the actigraphic examination, returning them either in a standard JSON format, to allow custom republishing, or as static images, in the certified sleepActa format
  • notify the calling partner's system that the exam has been performed so that it can retrieve the exam details.

The REST API layer

DORMI's REST APIs are authenticated, and allow, in addition to the execution of the algorithm, a number of management-type functionalities.

  • "partners" registry (subjects in charge of managing patients)
  • “wearable devices” registry
  • "patients" registry (with anonymization of personal data)
  • manage deliveries of wearable devices to partners, and from partners to patients
  • auditing log of the performed actigraphic exams, with the possibility of recovering the related raw-data
